Nelson Man Accused of Impersonating a Police Officer

A Nelson County man has been charged with impersonating a police officer and pulling a gun on his victim.

Vasco Wright, 28, was arrested early Sunday morning.

Police say Vasco told a man sitting in front of a store on Barracks Road that he broke the law. When the armed impersonator couldn't tell the victim which law, the victim took off.

The police caught up with Wright a short time later along University Avenue, disarmed him and took him to jail.
