Gardeners in central Virginia are saying goodbye to the snow and celebrating spring with Southern States' second annual Taste of Spring Garden Show.
The spring kickoff featured presentations on landscape design and herbs.
On Sunday, a crowd gathered in the greenhouse on Proffitt Road to learn about perennials.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit pancreatic cancer research at the University of Virginia.
"It's the kind of cancer as with many others that we need to get some research going where we can figure out earlier that you have it, when we can treat it, what can be done about it and I'm very happy to say that research is being done right here in Charlottesville so we wanted to try to find a way to support that," said Carol Church of Southern States.
The show wrapped up Sunday but anyone who wants to make a donation to pancreatic cancer research can still do that at Southern States in Charlottesville.
