Power problems persist three days after the storm that dumped more than a foot of snow across central Virginia and the valley.
Central Virginia Electric Cooperative crews are working to repair tap lines- which are the local lines. But the work is slow going.
Twenty to 30 homes get their power back with each repair. Many of the remaining outages are in the Kidds Store and Zion Crossroads areas.
"The outage is so widespread, so multiple, that it's just a lot going on, there's trees everywhere you look there's trees and wire down," said Brute Gardner, a CVEC work informant. "So we're doing the best we can with the man power we got we're not forgetting anybody. We don't believe in that."
The next step for CVEC crews is working on outages at single homes and small pockets of homes. The co-op says that may not happen until Monday.
