After being slammed by the snow storm, many restaurants and businesses kept their doors closed – but not all of them.
The few fast food places that were open were booming with business. The Wendy's on Route 29 north was especially packed. Employees say the restaurant has been open since 10:30 a.m. and has had one of its busiest days yet. Dozens of people seeking shelter and food crowded the restaurant.
Alyssa Dizon, who lost power at home, said, "We were just inside studying all day. Nothing is open, there's no food so kind of just hopped in a car and came all the way out here. Everything is dark. This is the only thing open and we're just starving so that's why we're here."
There was a 45-minute wait to get food at the restaurant Wednesday night.
