Brandan, B.J. Stith Lead Brunswick past Fort Defiance and into State Finals

UVa basketball commitment B.J Stith had 11 points and 6 rebounds and older brother Brandan Stith had 16 points and 15 rebounds leading Brunswick past Fort Defiance 58-29 and into the state finals for the sixth straight year.

The 2-time defending state champion Bulldogs started Tuesday's semifinal game on a 23-2 run and never trailed.  Fort Defiance was held to just three field goals in the first half.   It was 25-8 at halftime.

Fort Defiance got within 10 points in the second half, but Brunswick ended the game on a 28-11 run. 

B.J. Stith says, "We're like brothers the top 6 or 7 of us, getting this final four win is really special for us, we've been working hard this entire year and its really paying off for us so hopefully we can get one more and get this ring and we'll be able to celebrate like we want to."

Brunswick coach Bryant Stith says, "Hopefully this will be a third consecutive championship win so we have a lot to look forward to we can go home and prepare these next couple of days and understand that we have a chance to do something that has never been done before in school history and that's win three straight state championships."

Brunswick advances to face Spotswood in the state finals on Saturday.
