Jaggers Communications Press Release
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. (March 5, 2013) – Summit Custom Homes, the area's exclusive builder in the Southern Living Custom Builder program, will build a Southern Living Showcase Home to open in May, 2013. The home will feature local vendor partnerships, showcasing the best of what the area has to offer in new home construction, technology and design.
Summit Custom Homes is one of 100 builders chosen for the annual builder program. Each year, Southern Living carefully selects members based on their reputation among local businesses and consumers; strength of presence in their respective markets; superior quality and attention to detail; innovative style, and other criteria. Builders have access to the entire Southern Living House Plans collection, which includes more than 1,000 plans created by architects and designers.
"The Bridlewood is a versatile plan, and we're confident people in the Mid-Atlantic region will enjoy visiting it," said Jayson Collier, president of Summit Custom Homes. "We've been a Southern Living Custom Builder for the past four years and it's very exciting to finally bring a Showcase Home to our hometown of Charlottesville."
National sponsors with products featured in the home include brands such as Sherwin Williams, James Hardie, Lennox, Belgard, Trex, Eldorado Stone, Chevy, Sunbrella, Marvin Windows and Doors, Rinnai, and Moen.
Central Virginia-based showcase home partners will include Blue Ridge Building Supply, Dreaming Creek Timber Frame, Superior Walls, Ideal Cabinets, European Stone, Robertson Electric, Suns Inc., Balzer and Associates, Timberlake Lighting, The Heart Pine Company, VAMAC and C.M. Thomas Masonry.
The design and décor of the home's interior will be supplied by three Charlottesville-area designers; Moyanne, Gibson Design Group and Steadman House.
Tours of the home will be offered over four weekends in the spring benefiting two nonprofit partners: Alex's Lemonade Stand and Operation Finally Home.
