Two Republican Groups Call for Dumler's Resignation

Posted: Updated:

Albemarle County Republican Committee
PRESS RELEASE

Charlottesville, VA —The Albemarle County Republican Committee joins many others in Albemarle County in condemning the behavior of Albemarle County Board of Supervisor, Chris Dumler and demanding he resign. Mr. Dumler pled guilty to a sexual battery charge which by any measure makes him serving on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors not only inappropriate but unconscionable. Furthermore, his continued presence on the board has become a distraction that is hindering the board's work.

The Albemarle County Republican Committee is committed to not making this troubling situation a political issue. This situation is about Mr. Dumler's behavior and his inability to serve on the board.

Albemarle Charlottesville Republican Women's League
PRESS RELEASE

March 5, 2013 Charlottesville Virginia - By his own admission and conviction, Christopher Dumler is guilty of misdemeanor sexual battery. This admission shows that he has little or no respect for women or for the law. He is unfit to serve in a position of authority, a position which should hold the respect of citizens of Albemarle County and of the surrounding region. The Governing Board of the Albemarle Charlottesville Republican Women's League, being residents of Albemarle, Charlottesville and the surrounding area, call for Christopher Dumler to accept responsibility for his actions and resign from the Albemarle Board of Supervisors.

The Albemarle Charlottesville Republican Women's League exists to inform the public through political education and activity, to increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government, and to support Republican candidates in all elections - local, state, and national.
