The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge has a new president and CEO, and he started Monday.
Dan Layman moved to Staunton 10 years ago with his wife. He has a 20-year history in fundraising and hopes to help the mission of the Community Foundation by raising awareness and finding more creative partnerships.
Layman says he's excited about the position.
"It's a wonderful fit for me. When we moved to Virginia I immediately fell in love with the community. And this is an opportunity for me to return to something that I truly love and working with an even broader community throughout the region," he said.
Layman is replacing Becky Kohler, who announced her retirement last fall.
