Man Charged for Shooting into Fishersville Home

A man is in jail after allegedly shooting into a woman's home early Sunday morning.

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Louis Peters fired a .22 rifle into an apartment on Waterford Loop in Fishersville.

According to investigators, a bullet went through the walls into a bedroom. No one was home at the time. The woman is an acquaintance of Peters'.

He has been charged with shooting into a dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
