Boston College freshman Joe Rahon hit a three-pointer with eight seconds left in the game, handing the Virginia men's basketball team a 53-52 loss in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts Sunday.
Rahon was fouled on his shot, however he missed the free throw, and a potential four-point play.
UVA had a chance to win, but senior point guard Jontel Evans was defended closely, and turned the ball over after being forced out-of-bounds.
The Cavaliers are now 3-and-8 in road games this year.
Virginia (20-9, 10-6 ACC) was led by Akil Mitchell with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Joe Harris had 14 points.
The Wahoos led 43-32 after a Taylor Barnette three-pointer with 10:24 to play in the game, but were outscored 21-to-9 the rest of the way.
UVA will play its final road game of the season Thursday, as they travel to face Florida State at 7 pm.
