UVA Student Body Approves New Honor System Proposal

Major changes are rocking the University of Virginia's honor system.

The student body voted to approve a proposal that would allow a student accused of lying, cheating, or stealing to admit guilt and leave the university for a year instead of being expelled.

The voters rejected a separate proposal which would have included a permanent, trained jury of students to decide the fate of their classmates charged with an honor violation.
