A man who admitted to kicking a baby to death in Albemarle County will finally find out his fate.
Ramon Turley is scheduled to be sentenced Monday afternoon.
Sentencing for 20-year-old Turley was originally delayed because of new developments in the case that prompted the defense to request more time.
His sentencing is now scheduled for Monday at 3 p.m. in Albemarle Circuit Court.
Last year Turley pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Camora Wicks. Wicks died in May of 2011 while Turley was babysitting her at an apartment off Fifth Street Extended.
The Monticello High School senior admitted to police that the baby was crying and crawling up his leg when he kicked her. The medical examiner ruled the 1-year-old had blunt force trauma to her torso.
Turley faces a maximum of up to 40 years in prison.
