The #6 Virginia men's lacrosse team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 13-7 victory Saturday at Stony Brook.
Mark Cockerton scored a game-high five goals in the win, while Matt White had a hat trick and three assists.
UVA led just 6-5 at halftime, but limited the Seawolves (1-2) to just four shots in the 2nd half.
The Cavaliers outshot Stony Brook 55-16 in the game.
Virginia returns to action Tuesday, as they host Mount St. Mary's at 7pm at Klockner Stadium.
