#25 UVA Baseball Scores Late To Beat Toledo 5-0

The #25 Virginia baseball team beat Toledo 5-0 in Game 2 of their three game series Saturday at Davenport Field.

The game was scoreless in the 6th inning, when Kenny Towns drove in Brandon Downes with a 2-out triple to give UVA the lead.

Downs added a three-run home run during a four-run 8th inning.

Senior Scott Silverstein pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing no runs and just four hits for the victory on the mound.

Whit Mayberry threw 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief.

Virginia (6-0) and Toledo will wrap up their series Sunday at 1pm at Davenport Field
