UPDATE: Buckingham Police Apprehend Second Robbery Suspect

UPDATED PRESS RELEASE

Late last evening, February 25, 2013, an anonymous citizen provided a tip to the
whereabouts of David Brenton Banks (AKA Brent). As a result of that tip, Mr. Banks was
apprehended at a residence in Fluvanna County by the Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office. Mr.
Banks was transferred to Buckingham County Sheriff's Office and all out-standing criminal
warrants were served against him. Mr. Banks is currently being held without bond at the
Piedmont Regional Jail in Farmville, Virginia.

Sheriff Kidd would like to thank the news media, the Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office, as
well as the many concerned citizens that provided information to Mr. Banks whereabouts. This
information directly contributed to the apprehension of Mr. Banks which allowed for this
matter to be quickly closed.

ORIGINAL PRESS RELEASE

On Saturday, February 9, 2013, at around 2:30 A.M., the Buckingham County Sheriff's
Office investigated an aggravated robbery of a 25 year old male that occurred in the 1000 block
of Axtell Road in the Howardsville area of the County.

During the course of the investigation, Sergeant Scott Folsom identified the following
two assailants as the responsible parties involved in the robbery: David Brenton Banks (AKA
Brent), age 23, and Charles Phillip Jamerson, age 23.

Two felony arrest warrants were issued against both for violating Virginia Code 18.2-58
(Robbery) and 18.2-95 (Grand Larceny), along with a misdemeanor warrant for violating
Virginia Code 18.2-119 (Trespass). Mr. Jamerson received an additional felony warrant for
violating Virginia Code 18.2-51.6 (Strangulation of Another). It is noted that the victim in this
case did not receive any long term effects from injuries sustained in the event.

On February 14, 2013 the Sheriff's Office successfully arrested Charles Phillip Jamerson
who is currently being held without bond at Piedmont Regional Jail in Farmville, Virginia.
