One Year after the landmark Grammy win, the success of The Civil Wars continues to trend with strong sales, visibility and launch of two new releases from the duo. Super D Independent Distribution (SDID) continues to add new artists contributing to the strongest first quarter ever for the distributor.

One Year after the landmark Grammy win, the success of The Civil Wars continues to trend with strong sales, visibility and launch of two new releases from the duo. Super D Independent Distribution (SDID) continues to add new artists contributing to the strongest first quarter ever for the distributor.

The release from grand-daughter of legendary Hank Williams Sr., Holly Williams The Highway available in stores February 5, 2013 had a the strongest possible Soundscan debut making its way to #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart for new artists. Holly Williams enjoys the Soundscan success along side Billboard Top 200 chart best seller Rodriguez whose Cold Fact and Coming From Reality releases have remained a steady fixture on the top 200 Billboard chart throughout the year.

This Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the 85th Academy Awards the film Searching for Sugar Man, a film about the life and music of Rodriguez is nominated for Best Documentary.

Additionally, the chart is crowded with more SDID distributed acts such as Trixie Whitley Fourth Corner and Shannon Labrie Just Be Honest both landed themselves on the Billboard New Artists chart and Leagues You Belong Here debuted at #1 on the Billboard Alternative New Artist chart. Also, former Danity Kane member, with her new solo project, Dawn Richard Goldenheart debuted at #69 on the Billboard R&B chart and still remains a fixture on the chart today.

Super D Independent Distribution (SDID) is not stopping there, set to release two brand new projects the first is the soundtrack to the documentary film A Place at the Table featuring all new music from The Civil Wars and T-Bone Burnett in stores on February 26, 2013 and on March 5, 2013 the limited edition vinyl LP release of The Civil Wars Unplugged on Vh1.
