A valley farm that fights childhood obesity is starting its second year and is already twice as big.
Project Grows is committed to connecting kids to the foods they eat. Young people learn on the Verona farm by getting their hands dirty.
New this year is the CSA, or community supported agriculture, program. Through CSA programs, people can fund a farm's expenses in exchange for produce.
"A buyer can have a share in our sight, in our produce. And will receive a seasonal bounty each week, sort of whatever we have in season," said Sam Berenstain, the farm's manager.
The money earned will support future programming. New to the farm this spring are chickens and bees.
