Culpeper police are looking for the man who robbed a downtown East Davis Street business late this afternoon.
The man, described as a very fair-skinned white male, walked into Reigning Cats and Dogs in the 200 block of East Davis Street about 4:40 p.m. He brandished a knife and demanded money from the clerk.
Police detectives, uniformed officers and a K-9 unit responded to the business. Detective Richard Brooking processed the crime scene for evidence.
The man, believed to be in his early 20s, is estimated to be between 6 feet 2 inches and 6 feet 3 inches tall. He weighs between 220 to 230 pounds. He was wearing a jacket possibly with a reflective stripe. He had a blue bandana covering his face.
The man left the store through the front door, but police are unsure whether he headed toward the Depot or East Street.
The clerk was not injured during the robbery, during which an undetermined amount of cash was taken.
Anyone with information may call Detective Brooking at 540-829-5504 or anonymously call Crime Solvers at 540-727-0300.
