Fire at Senior Living Center Forces Some to Evacuate

A kitchen fire forced the evacuation of some tenants at a senior living center on Pantops Tuesday afternoon.

The fire broke out at Jefferson Heights, located at 1550 Pantops Mountain Place, around 1:30 p.m.

Fire crews were able to put out the fire before it spread to any other units, but several units did have water damage.
