A Charlottesville dance group put on two special Valentines-themed shows Saturday. Performers from the Phoenix Dance Studio showed off their burlesque and aerial skills at Play-On Theater.
This is the first time the group danced in an actual theater. Phoenix Dance Studio owner Erica Rosene says the extra space allowed performers to do more aerial tricks.
Saturday's shows took the audience through all different stages of love.
"We wanted to do a love-inspired show, but what we wanted it to be really well-rounded," Rosene said. "So instead of just showing new love and cutesy and happy, we got a nice wide variety."
The group was made up of about 20 performers. Part of the proceeds will go to Women United in Philanthropy.
