The Virginia Men's basketball team allowed its most points in a game this season, as the Cavaliers fell 93-81 against North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
The game was tied at 40 at halftime after a Jontel Evans buzzer-beating three-pointer, but the Tar Heels connected on 7-of-11 three-pointers in the 2nd half to pull away.
Junior Joe Harris led UVA with a career-high 27 points.
Sophomore P.J. Hairston (Hargrave Military Academy) had a game-high 29 points for UNC.
Virginia hit 31-of-53 shots from the field (58.5 percent), and the loss is the teams first when shooting 55 percent or better since losing to Duke in 2003.
The Cavaliers made a season-high 12 three-pointers, and shot 50 percent or better from beyond the arc for the seventh time this season.
