Albemarle County Supervisor Chris Dumler has received a death threat, prompting a change of plans for Saturday's Charlottesville-Albemarle Democratic Breakfast.
Dumler, who represents the Scottsville District, was slated to join Ann Mallek for a conversation about county issues, but has canceled due to receiving a death threat.
When asked about the threat, Dumler said he cannot comment on an ongoing investigation. Albemarle County police say they cannot comment on this issue.
Dumler had been charged with felony forcible sodomy, but on January 31 he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor sexual battery in a plea agreement that allowed him to stay on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. Since the plea, the board has called for Dumler's resignation, but he has refused.
The Charlottesville - Albemarle Democratic Breakfast will now feature a reading of Ken Cuccinelli's new book.
