A group of students at Albemarle High School took part in a delicious tradition Thursday.
Students with special needs created their own bistro, preparing a full menu - bread, soup and salad - as well as seating customers, taking orders and delivering meals.
"It's like working at a restaurant," said Tanner Wood, a student and server.
"I'm going to be a server, and I'm going to ask people, "Would you like some cabbage soup or miso soup?" said Rosalynn Horan, a student and server.
"Bill's Bistro" honors late Albemarle High School special education teacher Bill Henik, who focused on giving students with special needs a chance to learn in non-traditional ways.
