CHO Makes Changes to NYC Service - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather

Flights from central Virginia to the Big Apple are about to get more luxurious and more frequent.

Delta took over service from the Charlottesville Albemarle Airport to New York city's LaGuardia this summer with a morning takeoff and nighttime return. Starting in March, the airport says Delta will switch from its 50-seat regional jet to a 65-seater that includes first class.

The airline also plans to add a second flight from Charlottesville to LaGuardia in the middle of the day beginning in June.
