SPCA Offering Free Cat-Spaying Service

The Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA is offering free services as part of National Spay and Neuter Awareness Month.

All February, the SPCA will offer free cat-spaying to lower and middle income owners.

Spring is the season many cats try to reproduce - so the shelter says it's important to get your animal fixed now.

"Last year we're starting to see the impact of that, we took in 350 less cats and kittens over previous years so it's really fantastic and most of that reduction is from kittens," said Lisa Lane of the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA.
