No. 4 USC Tops No. 12 Virginia, 4-1

The 4th ranked USC Women's Tennis Team took out 12th ranked Virginia 4-1 in the first round of the 2013 ITA Women's National Indoor Championships Friday at the Boar's Head Sports Club.

The 'Hoos won the doubles point thanks to 5th ranked Maci Epstein and Erin Vierra winning their match 8-2 and Hana Tomjanovic and Julia Elbaba's 8-3 win.

But Virginia fell short in four singles matches - including a three-setter in the clinching match at No. 4 singles.

Dual matches will continue throughout the weekend at Boar's Head and the championship match is set for 11 a.m. Monday.
