Fluvanna County homeowners could see a decrease in their property taxes next year.
County administrator Steve Nichols presented a budget on Wednesday proposing a small tax decrease. After reassessment, the current property tax rate would have translated into 81.4 cents per $100. Now, it would be 79 cents per $100.
The proposed budget would also give $13.2 million to the schools, which would be $700,000 more than last year's initially adopted budget.
