The case against two men accused in a strong-armed robbery will move ahead to a grand jury in Charlottesville.
Timothy Chambers and Timothy Miles are charged with robbery and assault.
Thursday in court, a witness who was with the accused men at the time testified due to a subpoena. She said Chambers hit the victim in the head along East Jefferson Street near Lee Park in September of 2012. The witness also said it was Miles who then took the victim's phone and some cash.
The victim also testified Thursday, saying he did not remember anything more than being knocked unconscious and needing medical attention when he came to.
The victim reported the crime two days later. He testified he was unable to speak due to an injury to his lip.
The case goes before a grand jury February 19.
