Staunton Courthouse Repairs Cause Street Closure - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather

Construction teams took over a block of Beverley Street in downtown Staunton Tuesday.

The street was shut down as crews used a crane for improvements to the Staunton courthouse. 

The city recently replaced the boiler system there and had to upgrade the chimney and ductwork to comply with building code.

That rooftop work on the three-story structure required the street closure until late Tuesday afternoon,  but the courthouse remained open for business.
