Five people were indicted by an Albemarle grand jury for their roles in a burglary and money laundering scheme. Albemarle county police say over the past five months, the suspects stole precious metals, like gold, from an Albemarle County home - then re-sold the gold across central Virginia.
Karen Richards and Christina Marie Lovelace both face a single charge of money laundering.
Jason Scot Worley faces two counts of grand larceny, three counts of money laundering and a burglary charge.
Linda Worley and William Worley each face a single charge for conducting unlawful financial transactions.
Eight people were originally arrested in the scheme. The other three people, Gregory Richards, Anthony Richards and Wesley Dodson have yet to have hearings in Albemarle General District Court.
The five people indicted by a grand jury in Albemarle Circuit Court Monday are all due back in court April 1.
