6-Car Crash on Seminole Trail

Northbound Route 29 near Rio Road in Albemarle County is back open after a six-car crash closed it just before 4 p.m. Monday.

One man had to be cut out of his car. He was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The chain reaction crash began with a rear-end collision.

Police are still investigating, but say charges are likely.
