UPDATE: Monday night Charlottesville City Council passed a towing ordinance which sets standards for tow truck operators. They now have to provide a photo showing why a vehicle was towed.
Monday night, Charlottesville City Council is expected to vote on an ordinance that would set standards for tow truck operators.
The Charlottesville Towing Advisory Board made some changes to the original proposal following concerns raised at a public hearing last month.
One of the changes would require operators provide a receipt and photo showing why the vehicle was towed within five days of the owner reclaiming it.
