The JMU men's basketball team won its fourth straight game Thursday night beating Hofstra in Harrisonburg 62-41. The Dukes pulled away in the second half with a 16-2 run. JMU shot 52 percent in the second half.
The Dukes were led by Rayshawn Goins 16 points. Andre Nation and Charles Cooke each had 13 points. Devin Moore had two assists and moved into second place on JMU's all-time assist list. JMU is now 7-3 in the CAA.
The JMU women's basketball team won its sixth straight game winning at Towson 75-61. Kirby Burkholder had a team high 15 points and 4 assists. The Dukes improve to 7-1 in the CAA one game behind 8-0 Delaware.
The Dukes shot a season high 54 percent from the field and had five players score in double figures.
