Hokies Fall 73-64 Against #14 Miami - NBC29 WVIR Charlottesville, VA News, Sports and Weather

The Virginia Tech men's basketball team lost 73-64 against #14 Miami at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg Wednesday night.

Senior Erick Green scored a game high 30 points, including making 5-of-8 three-point attempts.

The Hokies (11-9, 2-5 ACC) led by as many as 12 points in the first half, but a late Hurricane run would cut the lead to 32-29 at halftime.

Miami took control in the 2nd half with a 13-2 run, and Tech couldn't get any closer than four points the rest of the way.

The Hokies have lost seven of their last nine games, and return to action Saturday at 12 pm at North Carolina.
