19-Year-Old Arrested on Rape, Other Charges

A man has been arrested and charged with several sex crimes in Albemarle County, including rape.

Kevin Vasquez, 19, is charged with 2 counts of rape, one count of object sexual penetration and receiving stolen goods.

Police say Vasquez knew his juvenile victim and all the incidents took place last fall. They say the charges are connected but at that, at this time, they cannot detail how.

He is being held without bond.
