James Madison junior guard Kirby Burkholder scored a career high 28 points, and the Dukes beat Hofstra 85-62 Sunday at the Convocation Center.
The former Turner Ashby star hit 8-of-13 shots from the field, including four three-pointers, while also making 8-of-10 free throws.
Burkholder pulled down a team-high eight rebounds.
Tarik Hislop had 20 points, while Precious Hall added 16.
JMU (12-7, 6-1 CAA) has won five games in a row, and returns to action Thursday at Towson.
