Gun buyers hoping to protect their second amendment rights crowded into to the C&E gun show at Augusta Expo Saturday.
The president of Showmasters Gun Shows said the first day of the two-day sale attracted 3,000 shoppers. They would usually expect that many people to be the total for the entire weekend.
"We stood in line for an hour to get in here in 20 degree weather, so I think that says something that there are a lot of people concerned about it," said Chuck Neff, who bought two guns. "I've seen lots of people buying stuff today, I think every body's concerned that their rights may be lost."
The show has 300 tables of firearms and weaponry for sale.
The gun show continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Augusta Expo in Fishersville.
