Charlottesville Photographer Presents Slideshow at Cville Coffee

Posted: Updated:

Dozens of people gathered at Cville Coffee Thursday night to get a glimpse of Charlottesville's history. Ed Roseberry has been capturing Charlottesville's history with his camera since he was a student at UVA right after World War II.

Nicknamed 'Flash,' he has thousands of pictures of Charlottesville, many of which he shared Thursday. He put on slide presentation to show people the moments he has captured of the city.

"We had many people who are longtime residents of Charlottesville, some younger people who haven't been here as long and some people who haven't been here long at all, and I think they got a kick out of seeing what things looked like 50 and 60 years ago," said Roseberry.

His photos include everything from old UVA shots to historic moments on Main Street.
