State police say high speed and bad weather are to blame for a fatal crash in Augusta County.
The crash happened about just after midnight Thursday on Route 11 north of the Rockbridge County line.
Dylan Michael Hays, 21, of Greenville was killed when his pickup skidded off the side of the road and flipped over. Investigators tell us Hays was not wearing a seat belt, and was thrown from the truck during the crash.
State police say it was snowing at the time, and they believe Hays was driving too fast.
