A Charlottesville movie theater opened its doors for the first time.
A crowd came out tonight to the Bantam Theater on East Market Street to watch a spooky flick.
'The Battery' aired for the grand opening and the director of the film attended the screening.
One audience member says it's exciting to watch movies in a non-traditional theater.
"I wanted to support some local culture and just be here because I think it sounds like a really fun thing to do, something different to do and I just want to support my friend and the community," said Jules Deford, who attended the opening night.
There was a question-answer session after the film. Guests got to hear some of the movie making secrets from the director himself.
