Miller School senior guard, Travis Hester, has verbally committed to play basketball at Hofstra in the Colonial Athletic Association next year.
Hester is a Crozet-native, and has played for the Mavericks for the past three years.
The 6'3'' shooting guard is averaging 17-points per game this year, and says he's happy to have his college decision out of the way.
Hester said, "So much weight is lifted off my shoulders. Now I feel like I can play freely, and not having to try to impress somebody, or worry about missing an important shot. It just feels like my future's a lot brighter now, and I can just play ball."
