Rodney Redd Leaves Monticello Football to Coach at Virginia State

Monticello Football Head Coach, Rodney Redd, announced that he will be leaving the team to become an assistant coach at Virginia State.

Redd's exit makes it the second time in the last three years the Mustangs have been looking for a new head coach.

The Mustangs have won 19 of 25 games under Redd in his two seasons as head coach.

Monticello advanced to the state quarterfinals last year.

Redd previously coached at the college level and will coach the defensive backs at Virginia State.
