The Virginia Tech football team has hired Scot Loeffler to be its offensive coordinator.
Loeffler held the same position at Auburn last season, and at Temple in 2011.
He coached quarterbacks at Florida in 2009 and 2010, and has also mentored Tom Brady and Chad Henne while at Michigan.
Bryan Stinespring has been Virginia Tech's offensive coordinator since 2002, and it is unclear what his new position with the team may be.
Hokies redshirt junior quarterback Logan Thomas has until Wednesday to withdraw his name from the NFL Draft.
