Harrisonburg Man Arrested for Imitating Police Officer

Harrisonburg police arrested a man suspected of posing as a police officer.

Forty-year-old James Richard Eastwood from Harrisonburg is charged with impersonation of a law enforcement officer, breaking and entering, and trespassing.

Investigators say people in the East Grattan, Campbell, and West Water Street neighborhoods reported a man - identifying himself as an undercover police officer - was snooping around their homes Friday and Saturday.

Eastwood is being held at the Rockingham Regional Jail.

Police say he could face more charges.
