Stanardsville Man Dies in Car Crash

Virginia State Police are investigating the cause of a single car crash that killed a Stanardsville man Friday morning.

The accident happened around 1:10 a.m. on Celt Road, about a mile south of Route 33 in Greene County.

Troopers say 34-year-old Charles Marshall was killed when his Ford Mustang ran off the side of the road and slammed into a tree.

Police say Marshall was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car. He died at the scene.
