Ice Skaters Helping the Hungry

Ice skaters hit the rink at the Main Street Arena in Charlottesville Saturday afternoon to help the hungry.

The arena partnered with First Baptist Church West Main to help collect cans for their food pantry.

The kids' skate was free, but organizers asked everyone to bring non-perishable food items in exchange for an entrance fee.

Boxes were placed right outside the rink to collect the donations.
