The Charlottesville Albemarle Bar Association is endorsing a Louisa County attorney to replace a retiring judge.
Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court Judge Dwight Johnson will retire at the end of January.
The association's 15-member Judicial Endorsements Committee recommends the General Assembly appoint Deborah Tinsley to fill the judgeship. She was one of six candidates seeking the committee's endorsement.
Tinsley is already a substitute judge.
