Attempted Mall Abduction Suspect’s Case on Hold

The case against the man accused of attempting to abduct a child from Fashion Square Mall is on hold.

James Key's preliminary hearing has been postponed until February 4.

Key's attorney says he suffers from a condition called complex partial seizure, which can cause a person to not remember what he or she is doing for a period of time.

Key remains free on a $25,000 secure bond.
