A former Albemarle County Boy Scouts leader facing a forcible sodomy charge was back in court Monday.
David Brian Watkins waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Albemarle County Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court. His case is now headed to a grand jury.
Watkins is charged with one count of forcible sodomy of a juvenile. Investigators say the incident, with someone under the age of 13, happened in 2005 and involved both oral and anal sex.
Watkins spent six years as a Boy Scouts troop leader in Keswick.
Police believe more victims are out there and want them to come forward. Since setting up a tip line (434) 972-4045, investigators say they have received numerous leads and are chasing them down.
Watkins is currently being held without bond at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail. A grand jury will take up Watkins' case on February 4 in Albemarle County Circuit Court.
