UVA Women Look To Control Pace of the Game Against Miami

Posted: Updated:

The Virginia women's basketball team will look to improve on its 3-game winning streak Sunday, January 6, 2013, as the Cavaliers travel to face Miami.

The Hurricanes have won 50 of their last 51 games at home but UVA does have 4-straight wins in Coral Gables.

The Wahoos are 1-1 in ACC play after beating Virginia Tech Thursday, and UVA head coach, Joanne Boyle, says her team has to be aware of the pace of play against the Hurricanes.

Boyle whose 9-4 overall this season said, "They want to get into a track meet with you, so we can't do that. Although we can run on them, we just can't get into a track meet. They put a lot of pressure on you, and you've gotta be able to take care of the ball. Its nothing we haven't seen this year from some other teams, so we just gotta be able to handle the pressure."

Virginia and Miami tip-off Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
